Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a veiled attack on the Opposition criticising him over the misuse of agencies and the Adani issue, said there has been a concerted effort to malign him since 2014. Claiming there are many inside and outside the country who have resolved to malign him, Modi said these people have also kept many others on their payroll to do the job.
“There are many people in the country who have resolved to malign me since 2014. They have been very public about it. They have declared that they will attack Modi’s image,” the Prime Minister said during the inauguration ceremony of Vande Bharat Express in Bhopal.
“Iske liye inhone bhaati bhaati ke logon ko supari de rakhi hai (They have hired people to do their bidding). To support them there are some who are inside the country and there are some who are outside,” Modi said.
Modi inaugurated the 11th Vande Bharat Express in the Madhya Pradesh capital in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
